Bianca Horn is no stranger to the Fireside Theatre. In fact, her role as Deloris Van Cartier in SISTER ACT makes this her fourteenth production. While theatre may have been her first love, she met her true love while performing at the Fireside. An audience member was so taken with Bianca that he sent her a fan letter. Soon after, they met, eventually married, and now live happily ever after in New York.

This actor-singer-dancer was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and relocated with her family as a child to Miami, Florida. Bianca credits her sister for involving her in oratory competitions where Bianca discovered she was great at public speaking. Soon she was dancing and singing in church. Her love and passion for performance and storytelling have been insatiable.

What do you love about the role of Deloris Van Cartier?

This company, the characters who shape Deloris, and the lessons she's taught by each person whether they victimize her or help her, from the bum, to the love interest, to the nuns.

What can the audience expect to see when they attend SISTER ACT?

A lot of heart and energy. Through a series of events, Deloris Van Cartier's life is taken in another direction. You will see her humanity and so much more.

What is the most challenging part of your role?

The character of Deloris reminds me of myself with her quick answers and one liners. She can put people in their place. The hardest part of this role is showing Deloris's vulnerability through all of that.

What song in SISTER ACT is closest to your heart?

Actually, there are two. One is Raise Your Voice. The music explodes on stage and in your heart. It takes you over with angst and music. The other song is Sister Act, a ballad. Deloris discovers what is important in this life. The lyrics are beautiful.

Bianca Horn is an incredible powerhouse in SISTER ACT. Her gorgeous vocals soar and her acting transports you to another time and place in this highly-entertaining musical.

First SISTER ACT was a blockbuster movie starring Whoopi Goldberg. Then it was a hit Broadway musical that took New York and London by storm! Now, direct from a successful National Tour, SISTER ACT comes to the Fireside stage in a brand new production. This hilarious, tuneful, exciting show tells the tale of Deloris - a Las Vegas lounge singer who witnesses a murder and is forced to hide in a convent pretending to be a nun - Sister Mary Clarence. What follows is a rollicking, fast-paced comedy filled with nuns, cops, gangsters, mistaken identities, comic chases, rapid fire jokes, and a terrific score by the Academy Award winning composer of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE LITTLE MERMAID, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, and NEWSIES.

SISTER ACT runs at the Fireside theatre in Fort Atkinson, WI, through May 29th. For more information on SISTER ACT or for tickets, please call (800) 477-9505 orwww.FiresideTheatre.com.
