Hello Broadway World! My name is Tyler Eglen and I'll be playing Stevie in David Lindsay-Abaire's GOOD PEOPLE at Actor's Theatre of Phoenix. As we go through the process I'm going to keep you updated on the happenings behind the scenes and on stage as we put this amazing play on its feet.

We've just started our third week of rehearsal and things are really rolling. If you're familiar with the play, you might recognize that Mr. Abaire fills the play with colorful characters both seen, and unseen. So for our time in rehearsal, we decided to fill in the whole community of characters by making a nice photo collage of every person named in the play!

Left to Right: Katie McFadzen(Margaret) Cathy Dresbach(Dottie), and Matthew Wiener(Artistic Director, Director)

Writing this entry about Boston and community exactly 1 year after the bombings reminds me of how deeply we depend on good people. This play focuses on one woman's story and her struggles just to get by from day to day. As theatre makers, it is our responsibility and privilege to share these stories with our community. I'm feeling pretty lucky to be part of such a talented and caring group of people who are willing to explore and contemplate these things.

As an actor, its exciting to learn more about the times/places/people that you represent - and for today, I think its only fitting that we recognize the good people of Boston.
