After the performance!

At my high school, we have a Senior Arts project where we have to read a short story by a chosen author, write a paper, pick a theme, and perform an art piece in either theatre, dance, music, or visual art. I chose theatre (of course) to portray my theme of fear of change. I wrote my own monologue about an Italian grandmother, Lucia Verrazano, a character that I created from my go-to Brooklyn accent. My monologue is about how Lucia is afraid of change seeing her grandchildren with their phones and trying to give her the gift of "Netflix" for Christmas. She learns to love Netflix and all of it's wonders of "Hallmark" movies and cooking shows, but first she must share her frustration of all of the changes from her day. These include "gluten-free" foods, Snapchat, and clothing. I had a great time playing and creating this character, and I hope everybody else did too! If you would like to see my performance you can check it out below!

Hopefully I will get to do this process again someday!

I will be blogging more and more now that theatre season is in full swing! Stay Tuned! Also, please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my latest videos in the meantime! Paisley Haddad on Youtube!
