Hello again friends!

How was your week? I am gearing up for the weekend, which means 5 shows over at Rock of Ages. For me, that means lots of green tea, working out, and maybe a few chocolate covered espresso beans! That's how I keep my stamina going for such a high energy show. I also am a big advocate of eating healthy – not just to look great in my costumes, but for energy and well being. (I'll touch upon that a bit more next week!)

As I mentioned in my last posting, on Tuesday night our cast attended and sang at the Grand Opening of the new Guy Fieri restaurant in Times Square, "Guy's American Kitchen and Bar." It was a perfect pairing as Guy is a huge rock and roll fan, and he even had several of the songs featured in our show blasting over the loud speakers throughout the evening. It was a great night! We may have had a few too many tacos (and drinks) courtesy of Guy himself, who could not have been a better host!

Wednesday night my friend and colleague Justin Matthew Sargent rocked out at his original concert "Covered in Rock" at the Triad. It was such a blast and he KILLED it! I am such a big fan of his voice, and it was so great to hear him sing some tunes outside of the show. I also got to reunite with my girl (and Rock of Ages alum!) Katie Webber.

As you may have gathered from my last entry, I've really been into watching documentary films lately. I already told you about "Castles in the Sky", which I loved, but I also recently watched another documentary called "Catfish." I know, I know, I am way behind on this one, but WOW. It was not at all what I was expecting; the film presents a unique story of a young man who develops a relationship with a woman through Facebook, but a number of unexpected twists surface, making it a very gripping and emotionally affecting film. It is really scary to think that stuff like that happens every day. I won't spoil it for those who have not seen it yet – just go watch it! I also started a new book this week called "Born to Run" by Christopher McDougall. I am only about 40 pages in, but I am already loving it and recommend you pick up a copy pronto! Non-fiction makes me happy. Until next time...
