Opening March 31st, the Union High School Performing Arts Company will be presenting Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. I would like to welcome everyone to a new series on my blog where I share my thoughts on the path to creating magic. Going into my 10th and final UHSPAC production playing Marie / Fairy godmother is already proving itself to be an exciting challenge. As I reflect on my high school theatre career, so much has led me to this moment.

I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to combine my love for comedy and classical music in my own dream come true. As an actress, I have learned that self - sufficiency is such a vital aspect of becoming a well - rounded performer. In a little under a month, I have gone through several hours of vocal tech to with time, acquire the skills needed to sing in this challenging style. I have also been delving into the brilliant script, uncovering its complexity and intelligent nature! In every process, there are ups and downs. What is important to remember is your end goal and believing that you can achieve anything with hard work. In a short amount of time, I feel myself growing though there is always room for improvement. Join my process leading up to opening night! I look forward to documenting my experiences to share with those around Broadway World. Until next week, remember that with determination, anything is possible.
