BWW Blog: Ashley Ward of Off-Broadway's 50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL - Show, Meet the Audience. Audience, Meet the Show

Hello Broadwayworld readers! Hope all is well with all of y'all.

Things in 50 Shades! land are pretty busy. But great! We've spent the last two weeks in preview mode which means we are finally showing off our stuff (some of us more than others) to the audience! It has been a blast! The audience is the final piece that makes it all feel like it's really happening! Of course there are still little things to tweak here and there as we go, so we've been in rehearsals during the entire preview process as well (which is fun, but exhausting).

There are all sorts of changes, big and small, that have happened and always unforeseeable things cropping up. Like Adam Hyndman (who plays Taylor in the show) bumped his head one night while moving a set piece that decided to stop moving. He iced it and was totally fine. Plus he's a smarty pants (Princeton grad) so he probably has more brains than he needs anyway.

Adam Hyndman (Taylor) got quite a goose egg on his noggin. Don't worry though. His abs were unharmed.

As the ramp up to opening continues, we have gotten to do some really fun press! Last week the book club ladies got to do a fun number on Good Day New York!! We had such a blast. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Hope you've enjoyed this quick update! Looking forward to telling you all about opening night!!!!!

Laters, baby!
