After 384 performances, BUG, the critically acclaimed off-Broadway play by Tracy Letts (Four Lortel Awards, including Best Play; Two Obie Awards) is scheduled to close on Sunday, January 30th. The New York premiere, directed by Dexter Bullard (Lortel Award, Best Director), opened at the Barrow Street Theatre on February 29, 2004, with Shannon Cochran (Drama Desk Nomination for Best Actress), and Michael Shannon (Lortel Nomination for Best Actor) in the lead roles. BUG currently stars Kate Buddeke and Joey Collins, with fellow cast members Helen Coxe, Michael Cullen, and Sam Guncler.

Several domestic and international productions of BUG are scheduled for 2005-06, and the movie adaptation, to be directed by William Friedkin (The French Connection, The Exorcist), is slated for production in 2005. Bug is published by Dramatists Play Service.

Bug's award-winning design team -- Lauren Helpern, Set; Tyler Micoleau, Lighting; Brian Ronan, Sound; Kim Gill, Costume; and Faye Armon, Props -- received a collective Obie for Best Overall Design; and Lortels for both Lighting and Sound Design.

Bug is produced by Scott Morfee, Amy Danis & Mark Johannes, in association with Planetearth Partners.
