BOTALLACK O'CLOCK Joins Brits Off Broadway at 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters will welcome the US premiere of BOTALLACK O'CLOCK, written and directed by Eddie Elks. Produced by Third Man Theatre for Brits Off Broadway, BOTALLACK O'CLOCK begins performances on Tuesday, May 21 for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 9. Press opening is Tuesday, May 28 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM & 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM. BOTALLACK O'CLOCK is a black comedy based on the life and death of the artist Roger Hilton CBE, a pioneer of abstract art in post-war Britain and member of the St. Ives School, the home of the abstract avant-guard art movement in Cornwall. Culling material from Hilton's own writings as well as interviews with the renowned artist, BOTALLACK O'CLOCK creates a stark and compelling portrait of a complex man.

BOTALLACK O'CLOCK was called "a stunning miniature; surprising, profound and very very funny..." in Time Out London's five-star review when it premiered at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it was nominated for Time Out London's Best Fringe Play.
