"Jo, a female journalism student, and Jules, a male marine biologist, meet in a subterranean biology lab for an erotic 'casual encounter.' But there's nothing casual whatsoever about this particular evening. Will meaningless sex have meaning? What's going on in the fish tank? And who is that woman, Barbara, pulling levers in the corner? Something is about to explode." - petersinnnachtrieb.com

boom, by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, is an exciting and fascinating story of how the future world came to be. The production will star Kate Owens as Jo, Nicholas Carroll as Jules, Hannah Richter as Barbara.

Two years ago, boom was produced at Ithaca College. This production is being revived with a newly assembled group, led by director Drew Weinstein, production design by Johanna Pan, lighting design by Jessica Creager, and original music/sounds by Grant Carey of the indie-folk duo Summer Underground. Sarah Jane Schostack serves as a consulting director. Hannah Richter produces, which was also made possible by a large group of donors through KickStarter.

boom runs February 19, 20, and 21 at The Bridge Theatre at Shetler Studios (244 W 54th St New York, NY 10019) Tickets are available at the door and also in advance by following this link: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1087850
