Author Ayesha Afzal Rathore blends her personal experiences with imagined occurrences in her new book of poetry, "Along the Crooked Road: Blend of Fact and Fiction" (published by AuthorHouse UK).

"I inscribed my heart and soul into those pages and I believe that true devotion is the main element of achievement," Rathore says.

Describing life as a city, and the path one takes through the city of life as a crooked road, Rathore depicts her feelings and thoughts in 69 original poems, giving "Along the Crooked Road" a soul of its own.

An excerpt from "Along the Crooked Road":

"The galaxies lie
Within your mind
Throw everything else,
Aside
If you're willing enough
And explore what's within you
Before what's around you"
