Atkinson Joins 'The Ritz,' Postpones First Preview

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced Ashlie Atkinson (Fat Pig) will replace Caroline Aaron in their production of Terrence McNally's The Ritz; starring Rosie Perez and Kevin Chamberlin at Studio 54. The first preview performance will now be on Saturday, September 15 at 2PM.

The production was previously scheduled to begin on Friday, September 14. The official opening night remains unchanged, Thursday, October 11 at 7PM.

Anyone holding tickets for the Friday evening performance should contact the point of purchase for exchanges and refunds.

In The Ritz, by Terrence McNally, "a heterosexual man hiding out from his homicidal brother-in-law inadvertently finds himself in a gay bathhouse. What ensues is absolute hilarity, as slamming doors, mistaken identities, and advances – both wanted and unwanted – all build up to a crazy conclusion that leaves everyone in hot water!"

Previews begin September 15, opening October 11 with performances through December 2 are at Studio 54 located at 254 West 54th Street (between Broadway & 8th Aves).

Show times are Tuesday – Saturday at 8PM; Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday at 2PM.  Schedule Exceptions: Special Sunday Eve performance September 16 at 7:30PM; Special 7PM curtains October 30 - November 9; Special Monday evening performance November 19 at 8PM; No performance Thursday, November 22.
