ARTS in the ARMED FORCES (AITAF) presents their 5th Annual Veterans Day Performance on Broadway at The American Airlines Theatre, 227 West 42nd Street, Monday, November 11th at 7pm in honor of the US Armed Forces.

The event is FREE to all former and current servicemen and women & their families (the material performed is of an adult nature, so no unattended minors are permitted), and civilians with no military affiliation may attend with a donation of $25, which can be made at www.aitaf.org. There are no paper tickets and it is general seating.

The evening is produced by Adam Driver (Marine and actor) & Joanne Tucker (actress), who are the Co-Founders and Co-Artistic Directors of AITAF. Performers include Francois Battiste, Marylouise Burke, Adam Driver, Lena Dunham, Jesse J. Perez, Amy Ryan, David Schwimmer, Michael Shannon, Tracie Thoms and Joanne Tucker, among many others.

The evening consists of a scene and several monologues from contemporary American plays interspersed with live music, for an audience of military veterans and current service men and women and their families from in and around the New York City area, as well as a cross-section of the performing arts and civilian communities. The material performed is selected with an eye to what might speak to this particular audience, without being exclusively war-themed or focused.

Following the performance, join us at AITAF's "Greetings from Home" Benefit Reception from 8:30-10:30pm in the American Airlines Theatre Penthouse for $500, which includes the performance, cocktails, canapes, and the chance to mingle with actors and record digital video greetings that AITAF will hand deliver to wounded warriors too injured to make it home for the holidays during their tour of 3 US military bases and hospitals in Germany this December.

FOR TICKETS TO EITHER OR BOTH EVENTS PLEASE EMAIL CONTACT@AITAF.ORG.

AITAF's mission is to honor, educate, inspire, and entertain all active duty and veteran members of the United States Armed Forces and their families by engaging them in the power and social service of the performing arts. AITAF bridges the cultural gap between the United States Armed Forces and the performing arts communities by producing theatrical and musical performances for mixed military and civilian audiences. AITAF performances and programming accentuate the shared humanity of all Americans by using live performance to unite artists and service members and encourage dialogue. AITAF creates space for these two communities to enrich and diversify each other via their respective skill sets, life experiences, and demographics. AITAF enlists artists of the highest quality and chooses material with an eye to what might speak to this particular audience without necessarily being war-themed or focused.
