For one very special night only, Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's critically acclaimed and award-winning musical A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC will be performed with an all-star cast at the Palace Theatre in the West End on Monday January 26, 2015

This concert performance marks the shows 40th anniversary since its West End debut in 1975 and the cast will include the very popular actress Anne Reid as Madame Armfeldt, two-time Olivier Award Winners Janie Dee as Desiree Armfeldt and Joanna Riding as Countess Charlotte Malcolm and David Birrell as Fredrick Egerman.

Also performing in the show are Simon Bailey as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm, Fra Fee as Henrik Egerman, Laura Pitt-Pulford as Petra, Anna O'Bryne as Anne Egerman, Bibi Jay as Frederika Egerman, Nadim Naaman as Mr. Erlanson, Joe Vetch as Frid, Scott Garnham as Mr. Lindquist, Laura Tebbutt as Mrs. Nordstrom, Emma Harrold as Mrs. Anderssen and Jenna Boyd as Mrs. Segstrom. The concert will be semi-staged and feature an onstage 25 piece orchestra.

Directed by Alastair Knights (Putting It Together, The Elaine Paige Show) with choreography by Andrew Wright (Singin' In The Rain, Guys & Dolls, Happy Days). The musical director and producer is Alex Parker (Stephen Ward, Putting It Together, The Pyjama Game & The Jule Styne Songbook).

Inspired by Ingmar Bergman's film 'Smile Of A Summer Night', the action takes place in a weekend country house in turn-of-the-century Sweden.

The party consists of middle-aged Fredrik Egerman, his teenage trophy wife Anne, his son Henrik, the intriguing and beautiful actress Desiree Armfeldt, her mother Madame Armfeldt, the ferociously jealous Count Carl-Magnus, and his long-suffering wife Charlotte.

The original cast both on Broadway and the West End included Hermione Gingold as Madame Armfeldt (1973 & 1975) and Jean Simmons who played Desiree Armfeldt (1974). The score includes "Every Day a Little Death", "Weekend in the Country" and the iconic "Send in the Clowns".
