Nominations for the 85th Academy Awards were announced this morning by the show's host, Seth MacFarlane, and actress Emma Stone. The film that theatre fans have been watching out for, LES MISERABLES received 7 nominations including Anne Hathaway for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

The actress, whose mother portrayed Fantine in a touring production of the musical reacted to news of the nomination this morning. "When I got cast, my mother gave me her cast jacket from when she did the tour. I put it on this morning. And I wore it on my first day of filming. I feel like I'm especially sharing it with her," she shared.

Asked if the reality of the nomination has sunk in, she replied, "Not entirely. I've received an extraordinary and unusual amount of love for playing this character. I'm still processing it. I'm so very grateful for every second. I had hoped to achieve an Oscar nomination in my life but to be 30 and have two - I don't know what energy to thank."

Hathaway plans to celebrate the good news quietly with friends. "Today, I'm going to go on a hike with my two best girlfriends, one of whom is pregnant," she explains. I'm going to gush over her stomach. We'll celebrate later tonight."

Other nominations for LES MISERABLES include Actor in a Leading Role, Best Picture, Costume Design, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Song) and Production Design.

The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.
