The American Theatre Wing and XM Satellite Radio proudly present an interview with actress Amy Irving on their weekly theatrical interview show, "Downstage Center," on XM's On Broadway (XM Channel 28).

Irving will appear as the special guest on Friday, March 9 at 6 p.m. The show will repeat on Saturday, March 10 at noon, Sunday, March 11 at 7 p.m., and Wednesday, March 14 at midnight.

In the interview,
Amy Irving talks about her experience seeing part two of The Coast of Utopia when it premiered in England, and her response when director Jack O'Brien asked her to play two roles in the trilogy's U.S. premiere; her homecoming to the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, where she spent her teenage years as her parents led the Repertory Theatre of Lincoln Center; her good fortune of working Arthur Miller on the premiere of Broken Glass and both acting with and being directed by Athol Fugard in his The Road to Mecca; and the experience of having a play, Celadine, written expressly for her.

Irving is currently playing two different characters in The Coast of Utopia atLincoln Center Theatre.  Other credits include Broadway's Heartbreak House, The Three Sisters and Broken Glass
.  She played Mozart's wife in Amadeus, and received a 1988 Obie Award for The Road to Mecca.  In addition, she has appeared in productions of The Vagina Monologues, The Heidi Chronicles, The Glass Menagerie and Romeo and Juliet. Irving's screen credits include Yentl, for which she received an Academy Award nomination, Carrie, Tuck Everlasting, and Traffic.  She also received Golden Globe nominations for her performances in Anastasia and Crossing Delancey. 

Each new "Downstage Center" is regularly broadcast at 6 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays at noon, Sundays at 7 p.m. and Wednesdays at 12 a.m. (all times EST).
