20, a one-night only celebration to benefit MCC Theater, will bring together prominent actors and writers.  The evening will be presented on Monday, December 5th at 7 PM at Circle in the Square (1633 Broadway at 50th Street).

While the cast is not yet complete, Lauren Ambrose ("Six Feet Under") has signed on to star in Neil LaBute's play, Jason Biggs (The Graduate, the American Pie films) will headline Eric Bogosian's play, Tony-Award winners Zoe Caldwell (Master Class, Medea) and Marian Seldes (A Delicate Balance, Deathtrap) are slated for Terrence McNally's play and Amanda Peet (the upcoming Barefoot in the Park, films such as A Lot Like Love) will star in a play by Peter Hedges.  Playwrights Richard Greenberg and Doug Wright have each written a play for 20 as well.

"The star-studded celebrity event will raise funds to support the work of MCC Theater and to celebrate twenty years of great theater.  The playwrights - Eric Bogosian (SubUrbia, Talk Radio), Richard Greenberg (A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner for Take Me Out), Peter Hedges (Good As New, screenplays for Pieces of April and About a Boy), Neil LaBute (Fat Pig, The Shape of Things), Tony Award-winner Terrence McNally (Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams, Love, Valour, Compassion!) and Tony Award-winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife) have each penned a special piece on the theme of twenty. We invited them to write something wild, something funny, something heroic, to go wherever their imaginations carried them," according to press notes.  The benefit will celebrate MCC's 20th anniversary season.
