Toronto based Alexander Showcase Theatre will perform the comedy LEND ME A TENOR from Nov. 26-29 and Dec. 2-5 at the Papermill Theatre (67 Pottery Road). Tickets are available now at www.alexandershowcasetheatre.com, emailing tickets@alexandershowcasetheatre.com or by calling (416) 324-1259.

Alexander Showcase Theatre's recent successful productions range from dark, thought-provoking shows such as "Man of La Mancha", "The Crucible" and "A Christmas Carol" to lighter, feel-good musicals such as "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" and "My Fair Lady" and the zany "Young Frankenstein". This fall, "Lend Me a Tenor", directed by Vincenzo Sestito begins the company's 28th year.

It's 1934 -- opening night at the opera. Max has the task of watching over the world famous opera star and heartthrob known as "Il Stupendo". Unfortunately for Max, "Il Stupendo" has an insatiable appetite for wine, women and trouble. Add in: The sexy co-star, the naïve girlfriend and the larger-than-life grand dame of the Opera Guild. Then add: The glorious, insanely jealous wife, the frantic opera manager and the quirky little hotel bellhop. Result: Lots of laughter!

Alexander Showcase Theatre is a dynamic, not-for-profit Toronto community theatre group which produces fully staged Broadway musicals, plays and choral concerts. The group is committed to creating the highest possible quality theatrical productions while supporting and pursuing a mandate to develop aspiring performers and technical crew.
