Alain Boublil's Wife Maria Zamora Will Star in Premiere of MANHATTAN PRISIENNE at 59E59 Theaters

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, 59E59 Theaters recently announced a line-up of shows for Fall 2014, which will take place at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). One of the selections is Alain Boublil's MANHATTAN PARISIENNE, directed by Graciela Daniele and running December 18 - January 4. Now according to the New York Times, the premiere will star star Boublil's wife, Maria Zamora.

She is a French singer. He is a New York musician who has a history with Paris. Connected by music, they embark on a surreal journey though NYC on a rainy evening, intersecting with various characters including a street musician who may be more than what he seems.

Fall at 59E59 Theaters is a hotbed of diverse theatrical offerings, from the gritty world premiere of James Dickey's novel DELIVERANCE, to the world premiere of a play by downtown favorite Mac Rogers, and the NYC premiere of a play by theater legend Robert Callely. Music lovers rejoice with diverse offerings such as the little OPERA THEATRE of NY returns with two one-act operas from Carlisle Floyd. The incomparable Barb Jungr joins us again with a new show featuring music from Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. Finally, Evan Pappas returns to the NY stage after a too-long absence in CAFE SOCIETY SWING, which tells the story of the legendary New York jazz venue.
