Broadway Lights, Manhattan Nights, conceived and performed by Aimee Barnes, is coming to Salon Astoria on January 26, 2014 at 5 p.m.

A cabaret featuring contemporary musical theatre writers, each song in this program is by a composer and lyricist that have not yet been featured on Broadway. Join Aimee on her journey through the city that never sleeps, as show tunes, men, and coffee shape her dreams.

AIMEE BARNES is a singer, actress, and teaching artist currently based in Alexandria, VA. She has performed in cabaret venues in both New York City and Washington, DC including City Winery, The Duplex, Arts Club of Washington, Black Fox Lounge, and The Lyceum. While living in Manhattan, Aimee performed leading roles in local and regional productions of Songs for A New World, The Goodbye Girl, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, and A Christmas Carol. She also toured the United States in a production of Cinderella. In addition to performance, Aimee Barnes is an accomplished private voice teacher. A Magna Cum Laude graduate from the Music Theatre program at American University, she has taught and directed youth musical theatre programs across the country.
