Aasif Mandvi Joins Cast of FOX Comedy US AND THEM

Deadline Aasif Mandvi has signed on for a recurring guest spot on the new FOX series US AND THEM. The 'Daily Show' correspondant will join previously announced cast members Jason Ritter and Alexis Bieldel on the romantic comedy.

The show centers on young lovers Gavin (Ritter) and Stacey (Bledel). Mandvi will portray Dave Coaches, described as "Stacey's best friend Nessa's (Ashlie Atkinson) deviously tempting ex (whom Nessa refers to as her "bedroom Beezlebub"). He's a security guard roadie for the Dave Matthews Band."

Aasif Mandvi made his first appearance as contributor on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on August 9, 2006. He is the recipient of the OBIE award for his critically-acclaimed one-man show "Sakina's Restaurant."

Other New York stage credits include the recently ended Disgraced, the 2002 Broadway revival of Oklahoma!, Homebody/Kabul, Suburbia, Trudy Blue and Speak Truth to Power. His TV and film credits include The Proposal, Ghost Town, Music & Lyrics, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Movie 43, and starred aongside Owen Wilson and Vince Vaugn in The Internship.
