ARCADIA Recoups Production Costs, Finishes Run Sept 12

David Leveaux's critically acclaimed production of Tom Stoppard's multi award-winning play Arcadia, which recouped its production costs this week, will complete its run as scheduled at the Duke of York's Theatre on 12 September 2009.

With a cast including Samantha Bond (Hannah), Nancy Carroll (Lady Croom), Jessie Cave (Thomasina), Neil Pearson (Bernard), Dan Stevens (Septimus) and Ed Stoppard (Valentine), David Leveaux's production opened at the Duke of York's Theatre in May this year, where it has been playing to packed houses ever since. They are joined by Trevor Cooper (Richard Noakes), Sam Cox (Jellaby), Lucy Griffiths (Chloë Coverly), Tom Hodgkins (Captain Brice), Hugh Mitchell (Augustus/Gus Coverly) and George Potts (Ezra Chater).

Set designs are by Hildegard Bechtler, costume design is by Amy Roberts, lighting is by Paul Anderson and sound is by Simon Baker. Arcadia is produced in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions, Roger Berlind, Robert G. Bartner and Olympus Theatricals.
