As New York City's longest-running junior benefit, the Museum Dance brings together influential young philanthropists to celebrate and raise essential funds for the Museum's scientific and educational programs, which enable thousands of underserved New York City school children to visit the Museum annually. The theme of the evening is Under the Sea, in honor of the Museum's upcoming exhibition Whales: Giants of the Deep.

This year's dance will take place on Thursday, April 18, with cocktails and dinner from 7 to 9 and dancing from 9 to midnight.

The event begins with an intimate dinner and dessert followed by dancing for all. Music provided by DJ Jus-Ske. Throughout the evening, there will be a silent auction with luxury items from many of New York's most exclusive retailers. All funds raised from the event benefit the Museum's scientific and educational programming.

Attire is festive wear - guests are encouraged to dress in resort-wear chic.

Chairmen include: Dana Wallach Jones and Michael T. M. Jones, Kristen Edgreen Kaufman and Michael Kaufman, Elizabeth Kurpis and Jonathan A. Kurpis, Gregory and Ali Kwiat, Nina and Michael Patterson, Zibby and Andrew Right.

Dinner tickets, individual: $500 or $700 for premier seating. Dinner tickets, tables: $5,000 or $7,000 for premier seating. Dancing: $200 ($150 before March 1).
