AM & Shawn Lee Earning Praise Since Release of 'La Musique Numérique'

Since releasing their sophomore album, La Musique Numérique via Park The Van Records last month, AM & Shawn Lee have earned praise from USA Today, Billboard, SPIN, Rolling Stone, WNYC & more for their infectious mix of disco, soul, and funk. A sun-filled, space-funk masterwork that blends early digital technology with decade-blurring songwriting, the album teleports listeners deeper into the sonic crates from which the music was born. However, these out-sound influences aren't plugged into a computer program and spit out through modern day micro technology-- the instruments are played, the vocals are sung, and the songs are written, proving an even stronger connection to the past. Album track "Replay" was recently featured as KCRW's Today's Top Tune, and tomorrow, AM & Shawn Lee will perform live on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic! KCRW also presents AM & Shawn Lee's CD and vinyl album release show on Friday, June 28th! To celebrate, the band has created limited edition hand-numbered vinyl works of art on marbled color vinyl (mocha, red, green, grey), and no two are alike.
