There was a time when our churches rang out with the collective sound of hundreds of voices singing in praise. These beautiful simple hymns evoke memories of a forgotten time.

Come relive those times and sing with joy from your heart as we delve into the gorgeous repertoire of hymns from our childhood. Soul Of My Saviour, Sweet Heart of Jesus, We Stand for God, Mother I Could Weep for Mirth and many more.

Alleluia: Hymns Celebrating the Faith of Our Fathers written and directed by Cathal MacCabe and produced by Linda Kenny. Starring tenor Ryan Morgan, soprano Linda Kenny, The Carrigaline Singers, Cor Scoil Eoin (MD Carol Lehane), and the Alleluia band (MD Alan Carney), is in the Everyman Theatre on Sunday May 7th. 7.30pm start time. Radamisto

Handel's timeless masterpiece of musical drama, featuring the hits Cara Sposa and Ombra Cara, is a thrilling tale of sex, power and corruption.

Northern Ireland Opera, in association with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, presents the Irish première and all-Ireland tour of Handel's Radamisto. Visiting the Everyman, Tuesday 9th May, at 8pm.

Acclaimed Irish theatre director Wayne Jordan makes his opera debut with award winning Northern Irish designer Annemarie Woods, leading Irish conductor David Brophy, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, and some of the best of Irish female vocal talent, including mezzo-soprano Doreen Curran in the title role, alongside sopranos Aoife Miskelly and Sinéad Campbell-Wallace, and mezzo-soprano Kate Allen.

Creaking

Creaking, a new play written by Noelle Brown, co created by Noelle and Oonagh Murphy, challenges the assumptions made about older people. It will be premiered in the Everyman Bar, Wednesday 10th May, 8pm.

Rita is tired of her humdrum existence. Her adult children are getting on her nerves and she misses her best pal Mary. It's time to spice up her life!

Creaking is based on the lives of real-life Irish people in later years. It explores the everyday challenges and pressures facing us as we age, and how we attempt to defy stereotypes. Presented as a staged reading in the intimate surroundings of the Everyman Bar, this moving and funny drama documentary is presented by Bealtaine, in association with the NB Theatre Company, and co-commissioned by the Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire A post-show discussion with the writer, director and members of the cast will take place after the show.

Tell Me On A Sunday

Tell Me On A Sunday, a West End and Broadway hit that charts the romantic misadventures of a young English girl in New York in the heady days of the 1980s is set to dazzle the Everyman audience for two nights this month. Brimming with optimism, the girl seeks success and love: but as she weaves her way through the maze of the city and her own anxieties, frustrations, and heartaches, she begins to wonder whether she's been looking for love in all the wrong places.

This iconic musical, with its wonderful original score, features the chart-topping Take That Look Off Your Face and title track Tell Me on A Sunday.

Tell Me On A Sunday is a heart-warming tale, performed by West End actress Irene Warren, whose many credits include Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Starlight Express and Grease. Directed by Trevor Ryan, Irene will perform along with a 5 piece band: Ronan Holohan on keys, John O'Connor on sax/flute, Aisling Fitzgerald on cello, Deirdre Frost on bass and Davie Ryan on drums.

Giselle

Ballet Ireland presents a new version of Giselle, a haunting story of love and betrayal, choreographed by one of Europe's foremost emerging choreographers, former Royal Ballet dancer, Ludovic Ondiviela.

The ballet tells the tale of Giselle who, betrayed by Albrecht, dies broken hearted - but her spirit returns to protect her now-repenting lover from the Wilis, vengeful ghosts of young women jilted before their wedding day, who dance men to their deaths.

Ballet Ireland's 21st century telling of this romantic classic reminds us of how it feels to have your heart broken, but still yearn to love.

Following Ballet Ireland's hugely successful production of The Nutcracker in autumn/winter 2016, the company are touring with Giselle until 27th May with this new Irish production performed by an international cast of world-class dancers.
