A Class Act NY to Host Broadway Camp on Long Island This Summer

Get ready, Long Island! A Class Act NY is coming back for the ninth successful summer in a row with their award-winning Broadway camp, CAMP ACA, August 22 - 26! Actors ages 7-18 will work with Broadway Star Judine Sommerville (HAIRSPRAY, ON THE TOWN, CRAZY FOR YOU, LATE NITE COMIC) and a professional music director on song and dance combinations from classic and contemporary musicals that will then be performed at the end of the week for family and friends at the JCC's 250 seat theatre! Campers will be grouped according to age. Space is limited!

Many Broadway actors will come in throughout the week to teach additional one-hour workshops on audition technique, on-camera acting, stage combat, and more! Last summer, lucky campers took a Broadway dance workshop with HAMILTON Star, Andrew Chappelle!

Additionally, campers will be bussed into Manhattan to see a Broadway matinee on Wednesday and attend a special talk-back with the cast. Last year, A Class Act NY campers saw FINDING NEVERLAND!
