The People's Improv Theater presents SOLOCOM - a celebration of all new comedic solo material featuring sketch artists, storytellers, stand ups, physical comedians, musicians and improvisers from around the country - and Canada!

PIT Co-Artistic Director Toby Knops and award-winning solo show artist Peter Michael Marino created SOLOCOM to inspire artists to generate new material. The 60 shows were carefully chosen from over 100 submissions and range from improvised monologues to outrageous character pieces, solo shows about life as a silver street mime to multi-media presentations about being a henchman for an evil genius. SOLOCOM will also present the NYC debut of the UK hit COJONES; a free late night party where brave performers do something on stage they've never done before.

With shows ranging from 15 to 60-minutes in two spaces from 2PM-midnight, there's bound to be something to tickle everyone's funny bone during this ground-breaking weekend. Plus, there's a bar.

The event takes place The Peoples Improv Theater. 123 E 24 St, NY NY 10010. All tickets $5, for more information, visit www.thepit-nyc.com.
