Tony Yazbeck, On the Town, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical
My wife and I decided not to watch this morning so we got up 7:30, grabbed some coffee and we went to a park nearby and decided to talk and mediate and appreciate the things that have happened this year. I had a really good year got married, go the show - it's been the best year of my life so it really didn't matter happy or sad. So, I gave her my phone when it started to ring and she started screaming and crying and I started to jump around like an idiot. I really was in shock. We had a couple walk by us and they must have assumed we just found out we were pregnant or just got engaged i just hugged and kissed my wife for being the most amazing rock.

Right now I'm just trying to return text messages and calls and talk to close family to thank them for every ounce of support. Later today I'll be teaching musical theater technique class and then I'm off to work just like every other gypsy actor, but i'll have an extra spring in my step today. This role is like a dream come true, so when you have the opportunity you just have to feel blessed.
