Now in its sixth year, Susan Merson, producing director the legendary 13 Street Repertory - home of LINE, the longest running play in history, serves as producing artistic director of a six-week, summer conservatory program for writers, actors, and directors focusing on the development of new plays and the artistic collaborative process.

The unique training program, mixing classic collaborative processes with modern thinking, seeks to challenge and inspire theatre artists hone their individual voices to create new works through classes, seminars, face to face conversations, and seats at the finest developmental theatre centers in New York.

New York Theatre Intensives fosters a think-tank of all artistic partners -- playwrights, actors, and directors -- charged with developing works coming from their own truth. This repertory of the next generation of theatre professionals enjoy interfacing with instructors and seminar facilitators drawn from the Ensemble Studio Theatre, a veteran of New York's new play development movement for more than 40 years boasting Pulitzer, Tony, Oscar, and Emmy winning members.

As master acting instructor, Elizabeth Hess, says "NYTI participants emerge as authors not just of plays, but also of their own journeys."

The prestigious program offers scholarships, performance work, and invaluable networking opportunities. The most important step in your future as an artist begins June 21. There are a few seats left for the summer 2015 session in New York City, June 21 through July 31, 2105.
