Susan Merson, producing artistic director of the 13th Street Repertory Theater and director/producer Jacqueline Wade are recreating the legendary theater's signature piece, LINE, the longest-running play in Manhattan and the longest-running Off-Off-Broadway show [ever], having played continuously at the 13th Street Repertory Theater since 1974) with a 21st Century twist. A diverse multi-racial and generational cast will give new meaning to Israel Horovitz's ageless parable. Ms. Wade will also host workshops and talk-backs on the issues brought up in Mr. Horovitz's absurdist masterpiece.

In honor of this new regeneration of the play - and Edith O'Hara, 13th Street Repertory's Artistic Director Emeritus, turning 99 - Line is creating an "on-LINE" campaign inviting back any and all actors who've appeared in LINE at 13th Street to share in the festivities. A special section of the 13th Street website will include short videos of the artist's memories of the play which will be shown "on-LINE."

Maybe some can be coaxed back on stage for a special showing.

The alumni names are vast and familiar - including LINE being Richard Dreyfuss' first play.

The new LINE returns in March 2016.
