Cyrano's Off-Center Playhouse in Anchorage will present 4 new productions from February through May including TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE and CAROLINE, OR CHANGE.

Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU will run through April 3 and will be directed by Dick Reichman. Winner of the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU is a popular play of modern times that is particularly meaningful during our current climate.

Next is an award winning Canadian play about Shakespeare told from the point of view of his wife, Anne Hathaway. SHAKESPEARE'S WILL will be directed by Steve Hunt and will star Elizabeth Ware. The production will run from April 9-April 25.

From May 7-May 30 Teresa Pond with direct Tony Kushner's CAROLINE, OR CHANGE in collaboration with the Anchorage Opera. In many of its details, CAROLINE OR CHANGE draws from Kushner's childhood in 1963 Louisianna when the Civil Rights Movement was growing and addresses questions or culture, community, race and class through the relationship of a Jewish family and the black maid Caroline. The score can be described as a pop-blues opera/musical for regular folks who might cringe at the words "opera" and "musical."

Cyrano's is nonprofit and was formed in 1995 by a group of volunteers committed to producing professional, quality works utilizing Alaskan talent. At Cyrano's there's something for everyone with a wide variety of plays, from original pieces to Shakespeare. And Cyrano's operates year round with a different play every month.

Cyrano's Off-Center Playhouse is located at 413 D Street Anchorage, AK. For more information, visit them online at www.cyranos.org or call (907)-274-2599.
