Summertime theatre training programs in 2013 with Alaska Theatre of Youth include: GLEE! Camp (May 28-June 1), Summer Conservatory (June 10-29), and a Stage Combat Intensive (Aug 12-18).

GLEE! Camp 2013
Tuesday, May 28 - Saturday, June 1
Song and dance intensive inspired by the popular TV show
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily

Summer Youth Theatre Conservatory
June 10-29, 2013

Actor's Conservatory (ages 8-19):
9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Mon-Fri and shows on Saturday, June 28
Tuition: $495

Early/late supplements available: 8-9 a.m. and 4-5 p.m.

Fairy Tale Program (ages 5-8):
10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Mon-Thu and shows on Friday and Saturday, June 28-29
Tuition: $295

Chew-in-training "C.L.T." Program (ages 15+):
Competitive placement by application.
Level 1 placement: $295 tuition
Level 2 placement: Work-exchange tuition

Armed in Alaska 2013: Stage Combat Intensive Training
Monday, August 12 - Sunday, August 18, 2013
with fight master Gregory Hoffman, Dueling Arts International and True Edge Entertainment and Jessica Jacob, UAA adjunct professor, Dueling Arts associate, instructor and ATY executive director

Level 1 training: 12 - 4:30 p.m. daily
Rapier and dagger / unarmed
Ages 15+ (or with permission)
Tuition: $200 before May 1; $225 after May 1

Level 2 training: 5:30 - 9 p.m. daily
Rapier and dagger / smallsword
(with permission - experience required)
Tuition: $200 before May 1; $225 after May 1

Opportunity to test for national recognition as Actor/Combatant. The same course in lower 48 would cost $500 and up (plus airfare and housing). Take advantage of this rare opportunity to train with the founder of Dueling Arts International, Gregory Hoffman.
