Stop That Train Before Penny, or Buster Feels the Spirit is the second in a series of Melodramas written and directed by Leslie Joy Coleman andproduced by the Southwest Rural Theatre Project. It is, however, freestanding, and does not require knowledge of the earlier production.

It is set in the early days of railroading, and like all the shows in this series, it is centered around a troupe of travelling players that moves fromtown-to-town bringing entertainment to people in the Victorian era old West. The antics and anguish typical of classic melodrama makes for adelicious and rollicking evening.

The audience is encouraged to participate by sighing for the Heroine, cheering for the Hero, booing and hissing at the Villain, as well asthrowing marshmallows (available in the lobby as part of the ticket price).

The rollicking cast includes Maija Moyers, Marion Crouse, Timothy Kupjack, Johnny Allen, Rudy Rueda, Julie Nelson, Anne Sheridan, Emilia S. Edwards, and Samantha Jerrigan.
