Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize winning novel "Tales of the South Pacific" by James Michener, this epic musical romance centers on a group of American sailors and Navy nurses stationed in the South Pacific during World War II. Arkansas native Nellie Forbush befriends and quickly falls for Emile de Becque, a French expatriate and plantation owner, and Lt. Joe Cable finds himself in a passionate affair with Liat, the young daughter of Bloody Mary, the local grass-skirt peddler. As the war against Japan escalates, reality sets in for both Forbush and Cable, who struggle to reconcile their unconventional love affairs with their long-held prejudices and insecurities.

SOUTH PACIFIC is jam packed with local Albuquerque talent. The cast includes Jenni Goodman, Mark Pino, Matthew Amend, Calandra Wilson, Joshua Vallano, Michael Youngman, Royd McCargish, Wyndra Salazar Lucas, Eddie Dethlefs, Jaaziah Vallano, Johnathan Howell, Steve Pinzone, Avery Dixon, Aiden Dixon, Sean Martinez, Christine Smith, Rebecca Gettler Shirley Roach, Hanna Cooper, Rachel Blount, Sasha Butcher, Patricia Erenberg, Laura Bartolucci, Dwayne Moseley, and Santiago Baca.

SOUTH PACIFIC will be directed by Bill Potenziani with musical direction given by duo HB and William W. Williams.

SOUTH PACIFIC opens March 10 and runs through April 2. Performances will be at Albuquerque Little Theatre, 224 San Pasquale SW. Curtain times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM. There will be a Saturday matinee on March 18 at 2:00 PM and a Thursdayperformance on March 23 at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $25 for general public, $23 for Seniors (65+), $20 for Students (13 - University) and $15 Children (12 and under). We look forward to seeing you at the show!
