What happens when the worst kids in the world join the annual Christmas pageant?

Will they ruin everything? Or will this year's pageant be the best one ever? Duke City Repertory Theatre invites you to experience the hysterical and heart-warming story of Barbara Robinson's The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, where the infamous Herdman kids may not only bully, cheat, lie, and steal their way into the annual Christmas Pageant, but into our hearts as well.

Our 2013 holiday feature marks the highly anticipated directing return of company member Katie Becker Colón. Her past work for DCRT includes 2011's inspiring Wooden Snowflakes and 2012's critically acclaimed Phoenix. The cast features company members Lauren Myers (Gaslight, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress) and Ezra Colón (Gaslight, Poe), audience favorite Elizabeth Dwyer Sandlin (The Taming of the Shrew, Trust) and newcomer DiAnna Maynard.

This particular production also carries a bright significance in the history of Duke City Repertory, for it will be the first time DCRT company members will work alongside several of Albuquerque's finest young actors, including Matthew Barkley, Mackenzie Jarrell, Lillie Kolich, Joaquin Madrid Larranaga, Elijah Ortiz y Pino, Faith Ridenour, Camella Rosenberg, Logan Smith, and Ruby Wells-Sagarin!

To top it all off, Myers is beyond excited to jump back into what will now be her third production of this show--she originally played Gladys Herdman in one of her very first plays at Albuquerque Little Theatre back in 1994 and Beth Bradley in 1998. Now she can't wait to explore the show in the role of Mother--who also happens to be a freshly chosen director of a seemingly doomed pageant.

Duke City Repertory Theatre has made a proud annual tradition of staging top-notch family entertainment during the holiday season.
