The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of SA to Present OLIVER!, Beg. Jan 31

The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of SA will be presenting a return season of the family musical, Oliver!, set to open at the Arts Theatre on January 31 2014. The widely acclaimed production will run for ten performances until Saturday 8 February 2014.

David Lampard's latest masterpiece received rave reviews from both critics and audience members and the return season will see most of the original 2013 cast and creative team (with a few new faces) perform to new audiences and long term G&S supporters. The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of SA has also confirmed to continue their support for SA charity partner Kick Start for Kids and will increase their fundraising efforts to improve the lives of dis-advantaged children in SA.

The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of SA raised $2000 for the local charity in 2013 which will feed several hundred children at an SA school for an entire year. The society also volunteered in excess of 40 hours of cast/crew time and provided marketing support to the charity.

Priority tickets are now on sale for the return season of Oliver. Every ticket buyer will also have the opportunity to buy breakfast and lunch for one disadvantaged child.

Oliver opens at the Arts Theatre on Friday 31 January 2014 with 10 performances including 2 matinees starting at 1:30pm and a special Sunday afternoon performance starting at 4pm.
