Due to the unpredictability of mother nature and information received from the Bureau of Meteorology, Adelaide Festival Centre regrettably announces that Good Fortune Market, the festival hub in Elder Park, will be closed tomorrow due to the severe weather set to hit Adelaide.

The decision has been made by Festival organisers as the uncontrollable weather conditions mean that it is unsafe for the Good Fortune Market to go ahead. A decision is pending whether the closure will extend to Thursday with patron, artist and staff safety paramount, this decision will made on Wednesday following the Bureau's advice.

The 6pm performance of Cambodia's Phare Circus on Wednesday in the Ukiyo tent in Elder Park has also been cancelled, but the show will go on and patrons who have bought tickets will have the opportunity to see an additional show scheduled on Friday September 30 at 8.30pm. Patrons will be contacted by BASS to exchange their tickets or to receive a full refund.

Joseph Mitchell, Adelaide Festival Centre's OzAsia Festival Director, says, "It's disappointing however we have managed to program the artists from Taiwan scheduled for the site on Wednesday, Fade to Blue and Wonfu to tonight. The Freedom Beats x DJ Cheer performances unfortunately will not proceed this year. I encourage patrons to get down to the Good Fortune Market tonight to see both of these amazing and eclectic bands. Don't forget patrons can head indoors and stay warm on Wednesday evening to see the ticketed performances of Split Flow and Holistic Strata, Margaret Tan and God Bless Baseball."

The good news is the sun looks set to shine on the closing weekend of OzAsia with good weather predicted. The Good Fortune Market will continue with delicious food, stunning design and loads of free music and International Artists on the main stage. Artists include: Korea's We Dance and Danpyunsun and The Sailors. Australia's ElectRic Fields and Ngaiire, Malaysia's Tenderfist and Cosmic Cambodia.

The closing performance of the ten year anniversary Outdoor Concert series will be a special performance of King of Ghosts, a live film score to a classic Indian film, created by India's Soumik Datta and featuring Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
