For those suffering from post-Fringe Blues who can't wait until the Cabaret Festival for a fix of world-class talent, Adelaide's premier cabaret bar, La Bohème, has just the ticket!

Internationally renowned, multi-award winning troubador, Aindrias de Staic, will return for a one-night only performance of his one-man show, The Craic with de Staic, on Saturday 12 April at La Bohème, 36 Grote Street, Adelaide.

The one-night only performance marks Aindrias' return to the Adelaide stage since enthralling audiences and critics alike at the Adelaide Fringe in 2010.

In The Craic with de Staic, Aindrias showcases his rich and rare style of fiddling, which is as unique to the west of Ireland as his story-telling, antics and humour, while sharing traveller's tales in which he found himself with only his wits, and fiddle, to get him out of sticky situations, from Croatia, to Thailand, to Bondi Junction.

Aindrias' previous productions have garnered much acclaim. Around the World on 80 Quid won Best Solo Show at the New Zealand Fringe and was also nominated for Most Outstanding Performer at the Dunedin Fringe Festival in 2010.

Since Aindrias last graced Adelaide stages, his career has been catapulted to another level.

Aindrias has toured the world several times over, including a 2011 engagement in London's West End, where he showcased his musical virtuosity in Woody Sez, the musical inspired by the life of legendary folk musician Woody Guthrie.

The evolution of Aindrias as a performer will be on show to those fortunate enough to secure tickets for this intimate performance at La Bohème.

In addition to Around the World on 80 Quid, Aindrias has also been awarded for his other theatre shows, including The Summer I Did the Leaving, which won a Three Weeks' Editors Award at Edinburgh Fringe 2009.

Furthermore, The Year I Got Younger, a spoken word novel loosely based on Aindrias' experience of travelling in Australia, became a one-man theatre show. It was nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award at the Edinburgh Fringe, which recognises comic originality in performance. This award is named in honour of the late Malcom Hardee, Godfather of Alternative comedy.
