Cabaret favourites and Helpmann Award nominees Michaela Burger and Greg Wain, and Helpmann winner Michael Griffiths, explore the memorable and emotive songs of Edith Piaf and Cole Porter in an award-winning double bill, Porter & Piaf, for two performances only on 10 December in the Dunstan Playhouse.

Uber-talented Michael Griffiths celebrates the colourful life and unique tunes of Cole Porter including 'You're The Top', 'I've Got You Under My Skin', 'It's De-lovely' and 'Night and Day'. A talented composer and lyricist, his songs reflect the hedonism, enduring love and grave misfortune of the '20s and '30s, while the show's narrative, written by Anna Goldsworthy, reveals much about his life of glitz and glamour. Porter's legacy sparkles with elegance, wit and wisdom and the timeless appeal of his songs proves that sometimes anything goes!

Helpmann nominees Michaela Burger and Greg Wain chart the tragic life of arguably the greatest French singer of all time, Edith Piaf. Together they explore the undertones of her songs with their own intimate and unique interpretations, using voice and acoustic guitar, and punctuate them with a collection of extraordinary stories of her life. Featuring heart-breaking ballads such as 'Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien' and 'La Vie En Rose', experience Edith's life, loves and losses through the songs that shot her to stardom.

Adelaide Festival Centre CEO and Artistic Director Douglas Gautier says, "We are so lucky to have these award-winning artists, showcasing the great traditions of Edith Piaf and Cole Porter in this award-winning double bill. This outstanding production will take audiences on a musical journey of toe-tapping highs and heart-sinking lows. Porter & Piaf is yet another production that truly reflects why Adelaide was named a UNESCO City of Music in December 2015."

Don't miss this captivating night of cabaret classics and intimate tributes to the lives and works of these cabaret greats.
