WASHINGTON, May 23, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ Former Speaker of the House and 2012 presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will appear at a National Press Club Headliners Event on June 16th at 10 a.m. in the club's First Amendment Lounge to discuss his new book, Understanding Trump.

In Understanding Trump, Gingrich shares what he learned from more than two years helping Donald J. Trump throughout his presidential campaign, during his transition from presidential candidate to Commander in Chief, and in his first few months in office. Gingrich provides a unique perspective on how the new president's past experience as a business leader has shaped his political agenda and approach to governing the country.

This event will feature a discussion with the author, an audience question-and-answer session, and a book signing. Tickets are $5 for National Press Club members and $10 for the general public.
