Turkish dance music authority Faruk Sabanci is back with a mammoth dance floor creation, 'Home' Ft. Sabrina Signs - out now via Sony Music Turkey. Exhibiting Faruk's immense musical skills and melodic feel, 'Home' is a festival-ready cut that is built up around Sabrina Signs soaring vocals. Combining strings, stabbing synths and frenetic snares, 'Home' hits the senses hard, while Signs' touching vocals juxtapose the heavy instrumental arrangement. Exploring immersive drops and an explosive finale, 'Home' is destined to be heard at the world's most in-demand festivals, played by some of the biggest names in the industry over the next few months.

In the exclusive interview below, Faruk discusses his latest track and more!

Your new release 'Home' is a really melodic and moving track. What was your inspiration for the song?
I wanted to do the undone, which might come accross as a pretty bald statement but 'Home' truly is the first of its kind, where an ironically slow beat meets a hard hitting festival vibe. My objective was to create something that can speak to everyone while sticking to my roots at the same time.
It also has a grander scale your previous releases, with a lot of strings and a soaring vocal. Did you want to try something different with 'Home'?
Absolutely! Early last year I felt like shifting my musical direction and producing tracks that can be accessible to not only the EDM fans but to anyone. Being the first release off what I call my next chapter, 'Home' surely withholds all signature Faruk Sabanci elements however this time with a pop twist. It's all about the song.
What is your musical background, did you start out DJing or producing?
I grew up playing the piano which lead me to discover the sounds of Robert Miles (who sadly passed away recently). After being introduced to what was back then called 'Euro Dance' I dove deeper to discover modern day Tiesto. Instantly hooked I bought my first pair of turntables at the age of 10 and the rest was history. Producing was something I got into a couple of years later, which of course is my biggest passion nowadays.
What artists have influenced you the most in regards to your productions?
In the early days when I had just started out I was heavily inspired by Trance music artists such as Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Paul van Dyk. Nowadays I could be inspired by any artist; from anything to a new Major Lazer record to non-dance artists like Drake or Lorde, sky is the limit!
Sweden and Netherlands are well known for their EDM producers, but you are the first Turkish EDM producer I've heard of. Is EDM present and popular in Turkey?
Even though Turkey is a massive country with a large base of music consumers we still have not managed to create an Electronic Music scene. I'm sure there will be successful producers hailing from Turkey in the future though for the time being I'm very well aware of my responsibility representing Turkey in the world of Electronic Music as well as opening doors for potential new artists.

You have drawn the attention of fellow peers such as Armin van Buuren and Hardwell, who have both released your music on their respective labels. How does it feel to be in the same company as these superstars of EDM?
It's very flattering, both Armin and Robbert (Hardwell) are legends and artists I truly look up to so their support means a lot to me.
Are there any places in the world that are on your DJ bucket list?
I would love to play in Cuba, that would be the experience of a lifetime!
What has been your greatest accomplishment so far in your career?
I'd rather not pick and choose, I'm just blessed to have accomplished some of my childhood dreams but we're just getting started with a long way to go!

Faruk Sabanci has been described as one of the most promising young talents representing the next generation. Signing his first record deal at the young age of 16, Sabanci has consistently delivered top quality productions that have received acclaim from influential tastemakers including David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris, Tiësto and many more.

By constantly evolving and experimenting with new styles, Faruk has drawn the attention of Armin Van Buuren and Hardwell, both inviting him to release his productions on their respective labels Armada and Revealed. Time and time again, Faruk Sabanci proves himself a force to be reckoned with in the electronic music scene.
