Action Adventure Novel Gives Fresh Take to the Genre

Backpacker Baz Bilings stumbles upon an operation involving the trapping of endangered species. As he takes it upon himself to investigate further, he becomes the target of professional assassins and must use his skills and wit to survive.
"I have learned through the course of life that, as human life is of very limited duration, giving everything for my passion and dying for it is worth infinitely more than prolonging a dull life with drugs and hospital life-support systems," said Tabler. "Ultimately, I wrote this novel to inspire people to go out on adventures and not be afraid of taking risks."
Beyond the action adventure elements, the book also addresses the importance of the environment for sustaining human life. Tabler concludes that the planet's condition needs more urgent attention regarding climate change and other problems that can cause catastrophe.
"Traps" presents a story about living life to the fullest, going up against the odds, protecting everything that one loves, and becoming a stronger person in the process.

About the author
E. L. Tabler's love affair with nature began at age four, catching and releasing crawdads in a creek just behind his Missouri home. He has resided in Massachusetts for most of his life, where he worked in the human services field for 25 years. For ten of those years, Tabler lived in a remote loft with a wood-burning stove for heat and kerosene lamps for light. He considers himself an epicure of edible wild foods, particularly mushrooms. Writing about nature has enabled him to fully immerse himself in her.
